Larger 8" Speakers at an Affordable Price - The larger 8" speakers simply sound better than the smaller, 6.5" speakers. If you have the space and budget, we always recommend going with the larger speakers. They handle more power, there's more surface area for mid-bass response, and the larger speakers just play louder.
150W RMS Power Handling - The more power you can send to your marine speakers, the louder they will play and the better they will sound. The M1 8" speakers can handle a good amount of power for an affordable, 8" marine speaker.
1" PEI Dome Tweeter - The PEI dome tweeters on the 8" M1 speakers are designed to play clear and bright to cut through wind, water, and engine noise. A boat is a noisy, open environment and you want to make sure you have speakers that will play loud enough and bright enough to cut through all of that other noise.
Choose the Amplifier that Best Fits Your Installation - There are no bad choices here. The PM600X4 is the workhorse if your have the space. At the same time, we personally spoke with the director of OEM marine sales for Rockford Fosgate and they have been doing the M2-300X4 to four, M1 8" speakers and it sounds incredible. We checked it out for ourselces and 100% agree.
- M2-300X4 - Full-size Class D Amp - Plenty of amplifier at an affordable price.
- PM600X4 - Full-size Class AB Amp - An absolute workhorse that delivers tons of clean power.
- M5-800X4 - Mini amplifier - Ideal if you are limited on space.
ColorOptix RGB LEDs - Wiring the RGB LEDs typically requires cutting, crimping, soldering, and it can turn into a headache. With Rockford's ColorOptix RGB LED system, everything is plug and play when you use their PMX-RGB LED controller and their ColorOptix cables (Sold Separately). Plug one end of the cable into the controller and the other end into the speaker and you are good to go. Save yourself the time and the headache.
Option to Add an Amp Wiring Kit - If you don't already have an amplifier installed in your boat, we recommend adding the Stinger SEA4247 4 AWG amp wiring kit. This kit includes equal length power and ground cable so that you can easily run the power wires back to your battery.
