Our Rockford Fosgate 6.5" M1 4 speaker stereo package includes 4 speakers, an amplifier, and an amp wiring kit. This package makes it easy to put a high-quality, 4 speaker stereo system
in your boat. The 6.5" M1 speakers deliver the sound quality you expect from Rockford Fosgate at a mid-level price point. The amplifier will deliver plenty of power to ensure that you can hear your speakers over the wind, engine, and water noise.
Rockford Fosgate M1 6.5" Speakers
The Rockford Fosgate M1-65 speakers are 6.5" speakers and you have the option to select between white or black. The speakers come with a 1" LCP dome tweeter that will play clear while also withstanding the elements. The M1 speakers deliver the performance
you expect from Rockford Fosgate, but at a lower price point than their top-of-the-line, M2 speakers. The M1 speakers can handle 75 watts RMS making them a perfect match for virtually all marine amplifiers that put out 50-100 watts RMS per channel. The M1 speakers
come with open-style, 6 spoke grilles and Rockford Fosgate's Color Optix RGB LEDs.
Color Optix RGB LEDs
The M1 speakers feature Rockford's Color Optix, plug-and-play, RGB LEDs. With the Color Optix RGB LEDs, you don't need to worry about splicing, soldering, stripping, terminating or crimping your RGB speaker wire. Instead, you can use the Rockford Fosgate PMX-RGB LED controller and the Color Optix cables
for a plug and play system. You buy the LED controller and buy the correct lengths of the Color Optix cables. Plug one end of the cable into the RGB LED controller and the other end into the the receptacle on the speaker. This makes it waaay easier to wire your RGB LEDs.
Amplifier
In this package, we allow you to select from several different Rockford Fosgate marine grade amps. The M2-300X4 is the lowest cost and default option while the PM600X4 is our personal favorite.
All of the amplifier options will provide plenty of power to the speakers and also withstand the elements. In really comes down to your budget and the amount of space you have. If you are on a budget, the M2-300X4
is perfect. It will deliver over 50 watts per channel, withstand the elements, and it is very affordable. The PMX400X4 is an upgrade over the M2-300X4 and will deliver more actual power. The M5-800X4 has the highest power ratings among the amplifier options, but
it is a mini amp. If you are out in the summer, railing on your stereo system all day long, and it's 100+ degress out, the amp is going to get hot. Some people don't like the idea of their amplifier getting hot. If that's you and you want the best possible performance,
go with the PM600X4. If it is my boat, I am using the PM600X4.
Amp Wiring Kit
The 7-meter, 4 AWG marine amp wiring kit will give you the right wire gauge and enough length to reach your battery. This amp kit featuers red/yellow siamese style power wire, a fuse holder, remote wire, and everything else you need to install the amplifier. The wire is 100% pure oxygen-free copper for the best power transmission and sound quality.
